Lively Windride…

…after a trip to the dump.

You can’t tell from this photo, but it was blowing out in the bay, and at times we hit iceboat speeds.

Why so many trips to the dump one might ask; this time because Sue has been trimming, and the new policy around here is for all brush to go the municipal burn pile.

Out To Lunch

Light but steady all day rain, so we went for a drive and ended up eating our sandwiches in the lunchroom at the Meldrum Bay marina.

First time we were here was 46 years ago on board Vixen. Back then the marina office was on a decrepit dock, and it didn’t have a lunch room.

Road Weary…

…but still a good and useful trip. This morning Dragon Races in Minocqua. Katy’s newly formed team won two heats and came in third overall in their division.

A Dragon Boat, btw, is a large, Chinese type canoe with 20 paddlers, a steersperson, and a cadence drummer.
