Lovely, all-night rain. Followed by fog, but then a brisk west wind chasing all the humidity away. Expedition to Perivale Gallery (where Tony and Ab bought several pieces of very fine art) and then on to Providence Bay. Mimi and Bubba had to leave immediately on arrival in order to make it back for the annual Serendipity Lane Road Committee meeting (and pot-luck [topped off with the best cake ever made {by Glenn Lewis, aka Santa Claus}). (In point of fact, the road is in good shape and the meeting was without incident.)

Mimi found some extraordinary hand marionettes at the gallery, so Katy ended up with a penguin and Will with a monster named Gordon. While Abby and Tony were negotiating art, the puppets chased us all around the Perivale grounds.

Nice perennial garden at Perivale also, including this specimen of Japonica gigantea, an interesting plant.
