Thunderstorms

Pray hard to weather, that lone surviving god,
that in some sudden wisdom we surrender.
     —Richard Hugo

It seems to me that I have experienced few significant thunderstorms this season, certainly none of the violent variety. And, once again, no violent hurricanes coming ashore, or on the radar. Is Mother Nature pulling her punches or saving up for a wallop?

Anyway, here, some nice thunder and some nice rain, and who could ask for anything more?

(Note to readers, if any: posting to this blog is a two-step process—step one involves uploading a photo or two (from iPhone or camera); step two involves filling in the blanks with a bit of text (from computer). Sometimes there is a time lag (sometimes of many hours) between the initial upload and the final post (the one with wording). So, I would like to suggest, if possible, that the best policy might be to skip this blog entirely and follow Donald Trump, or if that is not possible, to look here a day later on in the calendar than the day it seems to be.)
